Globex Trade Date Behavior Change
Effective June 19, CME Group is implementing the following change to align CME Globex and CME Clearing trade dates when the Globex trade date falls on a Friday U.S. holiday.
All CME Globex futures and options trades executed on a Friday U.S. holiday will now reflect a Globex trade date to align with the next valid Clearing House trade date.

Client System Impacts
With this change, the futures and options Globex trade date for trades executed on a Friday will now align to the next valid Clearing House trade date. This change applies to ALL Friday U.S. holidays where Globex has a trading session but CME Clearing is closed. Currently, when Globex trades on a day the Clearing House is on holiday, the Globex trade date and the Clearing trade date are different.

Current State
In this example, the Globex trade date and Clearing House trade date did not align for the 4th of July holiday on Friday, July 4, 2026.
