CME FutureSports Performance Indexes Over WebSocket API
The CME FutureSports Performance Indexes (FSPI) are rules-based reference benchmarks designed to measure cumulative team performance over time through the systematic aggregation of officially reported league performance statistics. Data is available as intra-day and end-of-day (EOD) streams.

Onboarding and Entitlements
CME FSPI uses OAuth, an open protocol that supports secure authorization in a simple, standard method and decouples authentication from authorization. For more details about OAuth API ID authorization and authentication, see the Client API Service Adoption Using OAuth 2.0 Protocol.
To access the CME FSPI, client API IDs must be entitled. Request access from Enterprise Application & System Entitlements (EASE) . In the access request, provide your API_ID and request Basic Read-Only Access for SmartStreamMarketdataWSAPI API.
Connectivity
CME FSPI Over WebSocket API is a bi-directional communication allowing clients access to reference data in real-time in JSON format.
Once clients have completed onboarding and granted entitlements they can access the CME FSPI Over WebSocket API endpoints. WebSocket API supports WSS connections over the internet.

Web Socket Initiation must have the header parameter "Authorization" with value "Bearer" pre-pended to the OAuth token (including a space separator).
Example: "Bearer <Oauth Access token>"
This API uses standard WebSocket ping/pong framework for heartbeat and connection keep alive.
OWASP Compliance
The APIs are hosted on Google Cloud and protected by Google Cloud Armor with preconfigured Web Application Firewall(WAF) rules leveraging the OWASP Top 10 rules.
Client systems must use the OWASP Top 10 rules.

Trading Schedules
The CME FSPI data is available 24/7 with an extended maintenance window on Saturdays from 2:00 to 4:00 a.m. CT.
EOD Index messages will be published 365 days at 9:00 a.m. CT.
Constituent messages will only be delivered to clients when leagues send updated statistics on events and if the league is in season.
