Mass Quotes - Quote Acknowledgment

The iLink 2 Quote Acknowledgment message provides users with positive (accepted) or negative (rejected) acknowledgment of the processing status for each Mass Quote message.

The Quote Acknowledgment message contains the number of successfully processed quotes and a list of rejected quotes identified by tag 299-QuoteEntryID.

To accommodate multiple quotes for an Product Code, the Quote Acknowledgment message can contain two additional levels of repeating information for a total of three tiers within the message.

If the Mass Quote message is completely accepted or completely rejected, the corresponding Quote Acknowledgment message has only one tier/thin ack. If, however, some quotes within the Mass Quote message are accepted and others rejected or all individual quotes are rejected, the corresponding Quote Acknowledgment utilizes 3 tiers to transmit the quote rejection information fat ack.

The Quote Acknowledgment has three possible formats:

1. Positive Acknowledgment with All Quotes Accepted (1 Tier-Thin Ack)

2. Positive Acknowledgment with Some or All Quotes Rejected (3-Tiers-Fat Ack)

3. Negative Acknowledgment with All Quotes Rejected - (1 Tier-Thin Ack)
