CME Connectivity Offerings

CME Group offers customers access to its network from a set of Production Connectivity Options that enable reliable, robust, and cost-efficient access. The content and links on this page provide technical connectivity information for customers wanting to connect to CME Group, BrokerTec and/or EBS markets or make changes to their existing connectivity.

CME Group’s offerings, GLink, EConnect, LNet, and CME Globex Hub, can be entitled to route to BrokerTec or EBS platforms in Secaucus, Slough and Tokyo, as well as the CME Globex Platform in Aurora. Each market has its own network connection. For example, a customer’s EConnect service from 111 8th Ave and 165 Halsey can be configured to access CME Globex in Aurora or BrokerTec markets in Secaucus or Slough or EBS markets in Secaucus, Slough, and Toyko, but only one market per connection.

Production Network Connectivity  - Requests and Requirements

A series of agreements/forms are required for various connectivity requests, as outlined in the below table. Many of these forms must be completed, submitted to, and approved by CME Group. The connectivity information from some of these documents will be forwarded to a CME Group network engineer.

Many of the connectivity agreements/forms and instructions for completion are available at www.cmegroup.com/connectionagreement

BrokerTec participants must be approved prior to ordering connectivity and should contact CME Global Account Management to get started. Some of the required BrokerTec agreements/forms or content is available from the BrokerTec Support Portal, which require access and a login.

Before a new customer can connect to BrokerTec markets, they must sign the relevant contractual documents as advised by the EDC / Contracts team.

EBS participants must be approved prior to ordering connectivity and should contact CME Global Account Management to get started. Some of the required EBS agreements/forms or content is available from the EBS Support Portal, which require access and a login.
