iLink SBE Schema Update
Starting January 25, 2026, CME Group began implementing new iLink SBE schema version 9 to support the upcoming initiatives on CME Globex.

Testing and Certification Requirement
Certification is not required for customers for the iLink SBE schema version 9.
The new version 9 schema is available for customer testing in New Release. CME Group strongly encourages all customers and system providers to test the new iLink schema in New Release before production launch.
Schema Version 9 Launch Schedule
In order to ease customer development efforts, the new iLink SBE schema files will support Template Extension.
After the launch date for each market segment:
CME Globex will only send messages using version 9.
Client System using version 8 decoder must use the blockLength from the version 9 message's header received from CME Globex to correctly parse the data.
Client systems can send iLink messages using version 8 or 9 until the end of day Friday, April 24.

Effective Sunday, April 26, version 9 schema will be the only version supported in production and New Release. Client systems can only send version 9 messages.

All client systems must adhere to the following gateway-specific launch schedule for iLink schema version 9:
Now Through February 21:
Version 9 is now available for Market Segment Gateway (MSGW) on upgraded market segments. The version 9 launch will be phased from now until February 22, according to the Production iLink SBE Schema Version 9 Launch Schedule.
Do not send version 9 messages via the Convenience Gateway (CGW).
Effective February 22:
Version 9 will be available for all MSGWs and CGWs.
Any iLink version 9 messages sent via CGW prior to February 22 will be rejected.
