In Flight Mitigation (IFM) allows CME Globex customers to manage working quantity to prevent overfilling of orders in the specific scenario where an order is filled before its Cancel/Replace message is processed. IFM functionality is enabled by submitting the initial Cancel/Replace Request (tag 35-MsgType=G) message for a given order chain with tag 9768-OFMOverride=Y.
Warning
IFM behavior is indicated in the original Cancel/Replace Request (tag 35-MsgType=G) message and is applied throughout the duration of a given order. CME Globex will not process any change to the original submitted tag 9768-OFMOverride value.
There are two scenarios for enabled IFM Cancel-Replace:
- Positive IFM Scenario - IFM CXR Order Quantity Greater Than Filled Quantity
- Negative IFM Scenario - IFM CXR Order Quantity Less Than Filled Quantity
