Drop Copy 4.0 Session Layer Message Specifications

Administrative messages are used to establish and maintain a FIX session with CME Globex over which business functions are transacted.

• Logon - from client system to CME Globex

• Logon - from CME Globex to client system

• Heartbeat - sent at regular intervals between systems to ensure connection and in response to a test request

• Test Request - sent to test connectivity from one system to another

• Resend Request - request a range of ordered messages resent from the counterparty

• Session Level Reject - sent when the inbound (client sys­tem to CME) message fails to pass a CME session-level validation

• Sequence Reset - synchronize sequence numbers on the sending and receiving sides

• Logout - sent to logout and as logout acknowledgment
