EBS Workstation 2.0 provides access to EBS Market and eFix on CME Globex and will be deployed in NY, London and Tokyo.

Clients can access the EBS Workstation via

Web connect (public Internet and customer hardware)

This is currently the only way to connect to EBS Workstation during a DR event.

EBS Workstation DR Impacts

Please review the full DR Process overview, then see below for EBS Workstation specifics.

State 1: Normal Production Processing (Pre-DR)

EBS Workstation and eFix are in a normal production state.

State 2: DR Event

All EBS Workstation sessions are severed. CME Group will eliminate all open orders.

State 3: Connect and Trade in the DR Environment

After notification by GCC that EBS Workstation is available, clients can access EBS Workstation at the DR URLs and login using their Production User Name and Password. Clients can reconcile trades using the EBS Workstation trade information, CPT2 and/or CME FirmSoft, and reconcile open orders for entry into DR.

Cancel on Disconnect and Cancel on Conclusion is enabled in the DR environment.

State 4: Return to Production

All sessions will again be severed for the return to Production. Once GCC notifies clients that EBS Workstation is available, clients can access EBS Workstation at the Production URLs using the Production User Name and Password.

In this scenario, the EBS Market and eFix instruments trading in LD4.2 are failed over to the DR environment in NY5.
