The iLink Order Entry Business layer, also referred to as the Application layer, entails the business transaction functionality provided by CME Globex. Once the client system has established a FIX session (Session layer), the client is able to transact business through the sending and receipt of Application layer messages.
The Order Entry Application Layer consists of the following topics:
To avoid client systems impacts, CME Group recommends that client systems NOT submit iLink messages containing FIX tags that are not defined in the iLink message specification.
